Demi Lovato has taken to Twitter to profess her love for her longtime boyfriend, Wilmer Valderama. Lovato tweeted a message to her boyfriend for all of her 28.4 million followers to see saying,
@WValderrama I know this won’t mean anything to you but our love is greater than Olivia Pope and Pres. Fitzgerald Grant’s
Since Lovato had tweeted that she had caught up on Scandal only two minutes before saying,
“Btw caught up on Scandal. OH MY GOD 
,” it is safe to say she is head over heels for Valderama.
For those of you not familiar with the hit television series, Scandal, Olivia Pope, aka ‘the fixer’ and President Fitzgerald Grant, also known as Fitz, have been having an on again/off again romance since the series began. The couple have professed their love over and over and at one point almost ran off together, but have hit a number of obstacles along the way. On the season finale of Scandal, we saw Fitz throw his wife, Mellie, out of the White House, after he finds out that she was the person who gave Rowan Pope the names of the juror on the B613 case, ultimately sending them to their deaths. Fitz then goes to Olivia’s apartment, only to find it empty. We sense his disappointment until he heads home and finds Olivia waiting for him at the White House. The couple kiss and the show ends until September.
There isn’t anyone with a love story that can be compared to Olivia Pope and Fitz. Is Lovato talking about her and her boyfriend’s deep need for each other or the fact that no matter what happens they are ultimately meant to be together? Or maybe she is alluding to the fact that ‘love conquers all?’ Or any other sappy love quote you can think of.
Is it possible to have that kind of love or need for someone? Lovato credits Wilderama with helping her through many dark days in her life – and there has been several for the young singer. From a bout with depression, eating disorders and being in and out of rehab several times, Valderama has been there for her. There love has lasted through many a hard times.
